Seeking Help?

Italian Home offers youth the building blocks to envision and strengthen their future. With state-of-the-art therapies and individualized treatment plans, our goal is to reintegrate the youth back into their schools, families, and communities by giving them the tools to cope. The continuum of programs at the Italian Home provide children with the opportunity to enter via one service with the possibility of being referred to and benefitting from many of the other programs offered. This continuity of care, integration of treatment approaches, and weaving of an array of mental health professionals is very beneficial to the overall improvement and health of the individual child.

IN-HOME SERVICES

Are you looking for services for your child who is experiencing significant behavioral, emotional, or social challenges? Do you want us to come to your house to help?

We can assist your child aged 3-20. The team meets with you and your child in your home or in the community (school, park, recreation center, etc.) and tailors the care to what your family needs. Parents report better communication, less tension, and more participation in community and family activities.

PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION PROGRAM

The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at Italian Home for Children is an intensive group-based and short-term treatment program for youth in need of a transitional level of care. This level of care can be used as a step-down from inpatient or CBAT (Community Based Acute Treatment) placement, or as a stand-alone diversionary level of care to help the child remain in the community and avoid needing hospitalization.

AFTER SCHOOL AND VACATION PROGRAMS

Does your child need structure outside of school time? Are you receiving family services from the state?

Our therapeutic day programs are for families currently receiving family services from the state and occur during out of school hours. They include a 10-week summer day camp, February and April school vacation day programs, and a full year therapeutic day/after school program. Children attend group therapy, work closely with a therapist, and attend outings to help with socialization and skills. This camp must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and be licensed by the local board of health.
